We all need connection, yet we find ourselves feeling isolated and alone and feeling misunderstood. Many people come to me feeling unseen, hurt, and have buried their feelings for so many years. Some are concerned with the way they have been coping. I am honoured to hold space for you and begin unpacking these complex life stories in a relaxed, compassionate and careful way. You deserve to be heard. My practice is an LGBTQ positive space.
Supervision
With over 20 years of experience I have supervised and supported many qualifying Registered Psychotherapists and Social Workers. I have worked with many Universities across Canada assisting students and interns fulfill their learning goals. I have met training qualifications with the CRPO to provide supervision to qualifying RPs. It is a privilege and passion to collaborate with others about theory, practice, ethics and challenges we face as practitioners in the field. Please reach out if you are interested in supervision and we can talk about your goals and needs and if I am a good fit for you.

I hold a commitment to anti-oppressive practice (AOP). AOP practice, includes awareness of issues such as white privilege and racism, ableism, homophobia, sexism, and other oppressions marginalized populations face.
My Approach and Style
I am passionate about my capacity to provide a non-judgemental, safe, and intentional space for clients to begin the process unpacking their stories and sometimes face pain and deep vulnerabilities. I honour and appreciate the relationship that is built in therapy. When one is given the space to explore their own strengths, capacities, relationships and struggles; they hold within themselves the capacity to grow and change and build self-compassion.
We will explore together what is best for you in a collaborative process. Each path to healing is highly individualized. I am passionate about the journey of change and healing by empowering others to increase their awareness of their experience, grow, appreciate, except and be gentle with themselves. I am here to unpack difficult decisions, painful stories and roadblocks you may be facing. Together we can explore how current or historical situations, or struggling with mental health can affect how one thinks, feels and then disrupts life. Or maybe explore how we can feel stuck in a style of communication that is not serving you or others. Not only do I believe that this process is possible as a therapist myself, but also by being a client and doing my own deep inner work over the years.
I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend. As humans, so many of us have faced suffering and hardships. Growth and change are possible for everyone when met with patience and care.
